This Privacy & Security Policy explains how Egan Security (“Egan Security,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles personal information collected through egansecurity.com, business communications, service inquiries, contracting, and delivery of managed patch management services.

2. Information We May Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect business contact information such as name, company, title, email address and telephone number; information submitted through contact or assessment forms; communications and support records; billing and contractual information; and limited technical information such as browser type, device type, IP address, and website activity if analytics or security logging is enabled.

When providing services, we may also process technical information necessary to perform patch management, such as device names or identifiers, operating system and software versions, patch status, update results, error information, system health information, and administrative records related to the managed environment. The specific information processed for a customer will be governed by the applicable service agreement and related data-protection terms.

3. How We Use Information

We may use information to respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, provide and support contracted services, operate and secure our website and systems, communicate service and security information, maintain business and accounting records, comply with legal obligations, prevent misuse, and improve our services.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers that help us operate our business, such as hosting, email, billing, customer relationship management, security, analytics, and patch-management technology providers. We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights or security, in connection with a business transaction, or at the direction of a customer where permitted by contract.

5. Customer Environment Data

For managed patching customers, we intend to access and process only the information reasonably necessary to perform the contracted services. Customer data remains subject to the applicable service agreement. We do not claim ownership of customer systems or customer content merely because we access them to provide services.

6. Security Practices

Egan Security uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the size and nature of the business and the services provided. Our security program is intended to include practices such as least-privilege access, multifactor authentication where supported, separate customer access where practical, secure credential handling, device security, encrypted communications, logging, patching of systems used to deliver services, and periodic access review.

No method of transmission, storage, or security control can guarantee absolute security. Customers should maintain appropriate backups, business-continuity plans, endpoint protection, identity controls, and other safeguards appropriate to their environment.

7. Security Incident Reporting

If we determine that a security incident affecting information under our control requires customer notification, we will provide notice consistent with applicable law and contractual obligations. Security concerns may be reported to security@egansecurity.com.

8. Retention

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to provide services, meet contractual obligations, resolve disputes, maintain appropriate business records, and comply with applicable law. Retention periods may vary by data type and customer agreement.

9. Cookies and Analytics

This website does not require advertising cookies by default. If analytics, session recording, advertising, chat, or other tracking technologies are added before launch, this section and any required cookie controls should be updated before those technologies are enabled.

10. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on where you live and the laws that apply, you may have rights concerning personal information, such as requesting access, correction, or deletion.
