Purpose-built managed patching for business endpoints, servers and approved third-party applications.
How it works

A managed patch process your team can see and govern.

Egan Security is designed to operate as an extension of your IT team, with clear ownership, maintenance windows, approvals and evidence.

1

Discovery & Onboarding

Confirm in-scope assets, operating systems, applications, business-critical systems, maintenance windows, contacts and technical access requirements.

2

Baseline & Policy

Review existing patch status and define patch categories, deployment rings, approval flow, reboot behavior, exclusions, emergency handling and reporting cadence.

3

Pilot Deployment

Use a limited set of representative systems to surface obvious compatibility or operational problems before broad deployment.

4

Production Deployment

Deploy approved updates in scheduled waves and track installation results across the managed population.

5

Verification & Remediation

Review failures, retry where appropriate, document blocked updates and escalate systems that require deeper application or infrastructure support.

6

Reporting & Review

Provide a recurring summary of patch compliance, exceptions, outstanding risk and work completed during the reporting period.

Shared responsibility

Clear boundaries reduce surprises.

Egan Security

  • Operate the agreed patch workflow

  • Escalate exceptions
  • Deliver reporting

Your IT Team

  • Approve scope and policy
  • Identify business-critical dependencies

  • Own business continuity decisions

Joint Decisions

  • Emergency patch timing
  • Risk acceptance / deferrals
  • Out-of-support systems
  • Major version changes
  • Rollback or vendor escalation

Important scope note

The final service agreement should explicitly define supported operating systems, third-party applications, response windows, maximum remediation effort, backup responsibilities, testing expectations and what happens when patching exposes an unrelated application or infrastructure problem.
